This course is designed to expand the role of the Advanced Patient Care Technician as a phlebotomist. The student will be introduced to the knowledge and skills required to prepare and monitor clients when performing venipuncture. This course includes classroom instruction, campus laboratory skills practice and clinical laboratory rotations to community health care agencies. (2 lecture, 1 lab)
