MATH 103  INDUSTRIAL MATHEMATICS  
3 Credit Hours  
Course will provide students with the basic arithmetic and geometric concepts to be successful in various industries. Topics to be studied are: operations (whole number, fraction, decimal, signed number); percent; formulas (area and volume, surface area); systems (metric, USCS); graphs (bar, line, circle); shop measuring devices; solving algebraic equations; ration and proportions; right triangle trigonometry; and histograms.
MATH 119  INTRO TO COLLEGE ALGEBRA

A study of the algebraic concepts necessary to be successful in College Algebra.
MATH 120  QUANTITATIVE LITERACY

A mathematics survey course. Topics will include logic, problem solving, quantitative information in everyday life, probability, statistics and mathematical modeling.

MATH 125  TECHNICAL MATHEMATICS

This course provides students with an understanding of the numerical and algebraic concepts that are necessary in computer technology and computer science fields. Topics to be studied are: numeration (binary, hexadecimal, octal); significant digits; accuracy and precision; relative and percent error; solving equations (linear, quadratic, exponential, logarithmic); exponent laws; notations (scientific, function); functions (definition, algebra, graphs, even/odd, properties, library, piecewise, exponential, logarithmic); domain and range; and difference quotient.
MATH 125E  TECHNICAL MATH ENHANCED

Topics include real numbers, basic algebraic operations, solving linear equations and inequalities, graphing linear equations. Includes applications and activities to build skills in problem solving.

Quadratic equations; quadratic type equations; radical equations; rational equations; linear, nonlinear and absolute value inequalities; function concepts; graphing; linear functions and applications; polynomial functions; rational functions; exponential and logarithmic functions; systems of equations using Gaussian elimination; matrix theory and determinants.
