Child Development, 2+2 B.A.S.
The Bachelor of Applied Science in Child Development is a 2+2 degree to enable graduates of Associate of Applied Science degrees in Child Development and related fields to complete a bachelor's degree. Must be admitted to BAS Child Development Program to take CDEV 300 THEORIES OF LEARNING IN ECE, EDUC 302 STRATEGIES IN EARLY EDUCATION, and EDUC 402 CURRICULUM IN EARLY EDUCATION.
Field/Clinical Course
These courses have a component that requires placement in a child development setting and a completed CDEV file. The amount of hours can be found on the Academic Map tab.
Graduation Requirements
A grade of “C” or better is required in program courses with (CDEV & EDUC) an overall GPA of 2.0.
Practicum and Seminar
A semester long project concurrent practicum experience and seminar are taken during final year of study. A “C” or better must be earned, and the Peregrine Bachelor Level Assessment must be completed.
Students should average 15 credit hours per semester, or 30 per year, to graduate on time.
