Certified Surgical Technician to AAS in Surgical Technology
The Associate of Applied Science in Surgical Technology completion degree is expected to be completed in one calendar year, if the student is studying on a full- time basis.
Qualified applicants must be a board-certified surgical technologist (CST) through the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) and a graduate from CAAHEP (Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs) or ABHES (Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools) accredited program.
The student will receive up to 32 hours of credit for being a board-certified surgical technologist. Requirements for an AAS are 60 credit hours.
All general education courses are pre- or co-requisites of ST 250 DISASTER PREPAREDNESS and/or ST 255 LEADERSHIP.
Total Degree Credits: 60
