Associate of Arts
The Associate of Arts (AA) degree provides an easy and affordable way for you to complete a portion of any other college or university’s 4-year degree while on WVUP’s campus. Students who wish to earn a Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science degree at any other institution can work with one our advisors to customize your AA so that you earn college credits in the areas of General Education, Free Electives of your choosing, and degree or discipline-specific courses that combine into a college degree that can then be transferred into your 4-year college program of choice. WVUP’s small class sizes and professional, experienced, and dedicated faculty and staff insure a personalized and high-quality education that prepares you for your future academic endeavors.
In addition to being an excellent transfer degree program, the AA is well suited for undecided students. Many students wish to explore college life and offerings before taking a particular path. The first semesters provide the General Education courses required by most any other college program at WVUP or elsewhere.
Finally, if you are considering employment that requires a non-specific college degree, the Associate of Arts Degree may well suit your purpose.
Just a few of the subjects that can be selected in customizing your degree include: Art, Education, English, History, Journalism, Mathematics, Music, Philosophy, Political Science, Psychology, Religion, Sociology, Communications, Media Studies, and Theatre.
