EMERGENCY MEDICAL (EMED)

EMED 105  INTRO EMERGENCY MEDICAL SERVIC

Introduction to the Emergency Medical Services (EMS) System. Students become familiar with the components of the EMS System operations and the roles, responsibilities, legal and ethical issues of paramedic science. Students learn the significance and attributes of implementing community illness and injury prevention programs and the techniques to maintain well-being of the paramedic. The clinical component of the course allows students to develop an understanding of paramedic field work. (4 lecture, 1 lab)
